ICAM1 — IKBKB

Pathways - manually collected, often from reviews:

  • OpenBEL Selventa BEL large corpus: ICAM1 → IKBKB (increases) Aupperle et al., J Immunol 2001*
Evidence: IKK2 wild-type significantly increased basal ICAM-1 levels, whereas the IKK2 dominant negative construct prevented IL-1 induced ICAM-1 expression.
  • OpenBEL Selventa BEL large corpus: ICAM1 → IKBKB (increases, ICAM1 Activity) Newton et al., J Pharmacol Exp Ther 2007*
Evidence: In these studies, IBN and dominantnegative IKK2, but not dominant-negative IKK1 or an empty (null) virus, prevented the induction of NF-B DNA binding and the induction of NF-B-dependent transcription in A549 cells (Catley et al., 2005). This previous study documented a parallel inhibitory effect on the expression of ICAM-1, GMCSF, and IL-8. In the current investigation, we have reexamined the supernatants from this earlier study and now extend our observations to include IL-6 (Fig. 1)

Text-mined interactions from Literome

Huang et al., J Biol Chem 2003 : c-Src dependent tyrosine phosphorylation of IKKbeta is involved in tumor necrosis factor-alpha induced intercellular adhesion molecule-1 expression
Catley et al., Br J Pharmacol 2005 (Asthma) : Similarly, IKK beta ( KA ) and I kappa B alpha delta N overexpression also inhibited IL-1beta- and TNF alpha dependent increases in ICAM-1 , IL-8 and GM-CSF in addition to IL-1beta mediated increases in cyclooxygenase-2 expression, whereas IKK alpha ( KM ) overexpression had little effect on these outputs
Uchihara et al., Int J Cancer 2006 (Hodgkin Disease) : Coexpression of IkappaB, IKK , NIK and TRAF dominant negative constructs with CD30 inhibited CD30 induced activation of ICAM-1 promoter, suggesting that CD30 induces ICAM-1 via NF-kappaB signalling
Catley et al., Mol Pharmacol 2006 (Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive) : As observed above, ICAM-1 , IL-6, IL-8, GM-CSF, RANTES, MCP-1, GROalpha, NAP-2, and ENA-78 expression was reduced by the IKK inhibitors ... As observed above, ICAM-1 , IL-6, IL-8, GM-CSF, RANTES, MCP-1, GROalpha, NAP-2, and ENA-78 expression was reduced by the IKK inhibitors
Liao et al., Zhongguo Wei Zhong Bing Ji Jiu Yi Xue 2009 : The IKK-2 inhibitor, SC-514, inhibited IL-1beta induced IKappaBalpha protein activity, blocked p65 nuclear translocation, caused a significant reduction in IL-1beta induced DNA binding activity for p65 and ICAM-1 mRNA expression, and suppressed ICAM-1 expression on A549 cell surface ( all P < 0.01 )
