Ueda et al., Jpn J Cancer Res 1998* Evidence: The sensitivity of tumor cells to 5'-dFUrd depends on the PyNPase activity of the cells, the enzyme expression of OMC-3 cells treated for 48 h with sex steroids or growth factors was measured. The dThdPase expression of tumor cells was increased up to 1.73-fold by 0.1-10 nM EGF and TGFA in a concentration-dependent manner, whereas 17-beta estradiol and progesterone did not have any significant effect on this enzyme.
